I just love felt decorations! Aren’t these just beautiful. In a few days I hope to show you the ones I’m working on at present.
This year’s aim seems to be to fill the house with garlands.
Here are the homemade ones thus far:

Felt stars- a few years old now. I wrote brief instructions to make one here

Bunting! I didn’t use a tutorial for this, but they everywhere if you google ‘bunting tutorial’. I really like this Christmassy take on bunting by Sadieandlance. This photo is playing tricks on my eyes and appearing that the candles are behind the bunting. They are not!

Doily garland. A project I hadn’t planned on until today when the idea came from no where (although I must have seen doily garland somewhere recently to have thought of it!) There’s a tutorial for this on my other blog.
On our mantle during the Christmas season resides a sweet little village that lights up at night. I love little villages and have been taken with them ever since I used to see the Christmas village at City Myer as a kid.

About an hour ago I was perusing blog updates when I saw a tutorial and PDF pattern for a Christmas village house. Hooray!
I printed it and whipped it up straight away-

Thanks Anna!!
I have a candelabra in the lounge room that I’m not really a fan of, but it’s a good space filler so it remains. Today I decided it was completely wrecking the Christmas theme and gave it an overhaul…
Before-

After-

The candles-

We have a cupboard of cream candles left over from out DIY wedding reception centrepieces which always come in handy at time like these- today I took the candles, pinned on some grosgrain ribbon and stuck on some Kaisercraft rhinstone decorations that I never used for anything last year.
Easy!
